Visit the St. Joseph Table in the church narthex today, March 19, to honor the Solemnity of St. Joseph. At the table, you will find blessed cookies, holy cards, and an opportunity to give thanks to God and contribute to the care of the poor with a box for the poor.
St. Ann's is celebrating All Saints Day and All Souls Day beginning with Candles and Reading of Names, the Table of Remembrance, and All Saints processions at all of the weekend Masses next weekend (October 30 & 31). The Visit and Blessing at Cemeteries will be on Sunday, October 31, at 2 p.m. All Saints Day Mass will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, November 1. All heads of each liturgical ministry will gather on Thursday, August 12, at 7:00 p.m. in Meeting Room C to discuss with Fr. Scott plans and protocols for the training of new liturgical ministers.
The next Spiritual Gifts workshop is scheduled for Saturday, June 26. The workshop will be from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the parish hall, with brunch included. Sign up sheets are in the narthex. You can also sign up or ask questions by emailing Angela Asbill at aasbill@stannsofcanyon.org.
f you are interested in becoming an Usher, Lector, and/or Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, please find signup sheets in the narthex in June for each ministry. Training sessions will be scheduled according to the number and availability of the trainees. Altar Servers -- If you or your young person are interested in becoming a part of our wonderful crew of altar servers, please remain in the church after the Masses on June 26-27 to sign up. Training sessions will be held in July and August. Candidates must have made their First Communion. Thank you!
Everyone is invited to join our RCIA Candidates and Catechumens for a "teaching Mass" on Sunday, January 31, at 5 p.m. This will be the actual Mass for that Sunday, the Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time, albeit in a teaching style. What you don't know about the Mass might be the one thing that's keeping you from being blessed by its grace and riches. This Mass will also be livestreamed on our website. Come and grow in your appreciation of the Mass!
Since we don't have holy water available in our usual containers, we invite you to bring water in your own container to be blessed on the Solemnity of the Baptism of the Lord on January 9 & 10. It is that weekend when the main season of Christmas draws to a close.
Palms will be blessed at next Sunday's Palm/Passion Sunday Mass and be made available for your drive-by reception. Fr. Scott and the deacons will be in front of the church next Sunday, April 5, from noon to 1 p.m. to hand out blessed palms and offer a blessing to those who drive up (moving north to south), weather permitting. Please do NOT exit your cars. Starting at 2 p.m. than day, blessed palms will be available in barrels for your taking in front of the entrance to the chapel, as well as next to the mailbox in front of the rectory. Please take only enough for you and your family, and save some for others.
