Since Holy Week liturgies require the assistance of so many liturgical ministers, we are asking all lectors, Communion ministers, altar servers, and ushers to please sign up on the sheets in the narthex, indication which liturgies at which you are planning to be present. Debbie and Fr. Busch will use this information to make Holy Week assignments. Thank you!!

Please join us next Sunday (March 26) for a sung Evening Prayer, followed immediately by Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Evening Prayer (also known as Vespers) is part of the Liturgy of the Hours, prayed each day by Christians throughout the world. The service consists of psalms, a brief Scripture reading, intercessions, the Magnificat, and a closing prayer. Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament is a traditional blessing with a consecrated host exposed in a monstrance. Together, these make a beautiful and meditative liturgy! We hope to make this a part of our parish's liturgical life a few times each year, so please consider participating next Sunday evening!

Thank you to everyone who helped to make our Czech Sausage Dinner such a great success! We served more than 1,300 meals! Special thanks to Sarah and Nathan Dawes for chairing this year's event -- and to Anita Fischbacher and Mary Bowling for their sage wisdom and advice -- as well as to all the committee chairs! Thanks to Ron Kershen for driving down to West to pick up the sausage and kolaches. And thanks to all of the volunteers who helped clean the kitchen and hall before the event, set up for the dinner, cook, serve, take and count money, clean up after the meal, and do all of the other jobs associated with this event! The young people of our parish were especially evident as helpers during the meal and that is much appreciated! A dinner like this requires a true community spirit in which everyone pitches in, and that is definitely what we experienced last weekend!
The class "The Bible and the Sacraments" that was scheduled to start on Tuesday, March 7, was postponed because of Internet connectivity issues. The class has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 9, at 10 a.m.
